Re: 2-sided milling in Rhino - THE EASY WAY
Your moving pictures are worth a thousand words - I skipped to where you reset the puzzle piece. Now I need to wrap my head around how to rejigger this for my workflow, but it's a very interesting approach to the problem.

Re: Shapeoko 2 + Laser - Cant get working
Are you using M3/M5 or M3 S10000/M5 to activate/deactivate the laser? M3 PWM settings did not work for me since I'm running mainline GRBL. My diode would not turn on unless I'm above, say, M3 S9000.

The Wiki and the forums here were my primary resource to get the laser up and running, and it was touch and go. The only stumbling block is that the l...

Try MeshCAM if you're used to a 3d printing workflow, each option is defined on their page succinctly and helped me make my first 3d hard parts through the trial. I'm biased because...

Re: Cable chain
I couldn't get the links to work, do you have .stl files somewhere? I printed a few feet of an "SO3" chain off thingiverse before I realized no cabled ends were going through it, so I've been using coil cable loom. I'd love to print out a few links to try your design.

Adventures in aluminum; making a ruckus (PAIR valve)
I kinda sorta got my SO3 with the intention of doing as much small-scale aluminum stuff as I could for my hobbies - my scooters, 3d printers, electric longboard, lots of little things to make. I chewed through two fairly spendy 1/8" endmills in a reducer-adapter before I took a bit of good advice fr...
