Re: Problem with circles

I checked the code and it is truncating to 50 characters, which is the buffer size, but unfortunately I didn't add the linefeed characters to the count, which is sent later, thus it overflows the buffer causing the error. One easy temporary solution is to change the Grbl Line Buffer Size in Tools | ...

Re: Grbl Controller 3.0 released

I've finally added the decimal precision reducer logic and a few other fixes into release 3.4. I've posted a Windows build up on my AWS site and looks like the Linux and Raspberry Pi versions compile and run properly. Next on the agenda is to merge in the fixes to permit proper Linux compilation und...

Re: Grbl Controller 3.0 released

I see. I think your request is reasonable and I'll add it. Also, if anyone wishes to, they can report bugs on the github site. I respond to those also, see https://github.com/zapmaker/GrblHoming/issues Depends on whether you would like others to see a discussion here - in this case, good call, thank...

Re: Grbl Controller 3.0 released

I checked and the limit currently is 50 characters. The spec allows for 256 characters. I've never heard of anyone running into problems with this - is there a scenario where the line length exceeds 50 characters? I'm guessing it would be with large slides (>=1 meter). If I understand you correctly,...

Re: Grbl Controller 3.0 released

Good point - I'll fix that in the 3.4. One other thing I'm going to do is default to "aggressive preload" on instead of off for new installations. I've got a quite a few things I'd like to add, but it will probably only be a few items for 3.4 - if anyone has any suggestions on a feature voting syste...

V-channel bed - with detailed build instructions

Finally got around to building a proper bed. This one is not a new idea, as it is based on this great idea: http://www.shapeoko.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=11&t=274 Build details following these images... step1.jpg step2.jpg step3.jpg How I built it: REQUIRED: Wear a properly-fitting respirator when c...

Yet another set of DW660 mounting brackets (with files)

I’ve installed a DW660 onto my Shapeoko and I’m very pleased with it – my Dremel would slow significantly when drilling straight down or when doing fast cuts, the DW660 goes at the same speed no matter what. In the process, I designed a new set of mounting brackets, the files are included – these ar...

Re: How to mount DW660?

The line N110G71G91.1 near the top of IC's file is the problem. You need to remove G91.1 (i.e. change to N110G71) for Grbl to behave correctly. Without the change, I saw was the spindle move down to lower left exceeding the bounds of the available area. Tested with Grbl 0.8c.

Re: Correct $ settings for Grbl .8c

Yes. I am evaluating a better design for the buttons so it is easier to use. Thanks for the feedback on the issues you are having. Glad you are having success with the homing.

Re: Grbl Controller 3.0 released

Although I haven't had a chance to fully evaluate it, I am impressed by NC Corrector v4.0 that xpix linked to on another topic: http://www.shapeoko.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=6&t=1136 You click on a segment and it jumps to the code, then you edit the code, click in the 3D view, which promptly gets up...
