Re: ACME screw upgrade for Shapeoko Z-Axis

Hi Again, I tried the suggestions here, but unfortunately have not helped me. Please see the vids: http://youtu.be/ROY6RoNOyEk http://youtu.be/HgflI7X_pyE I checked the coupling, the stepper shaft is almost touching the rod, so i made the standoffs a little bit longer, but didn't help much. I read o...

Re: ACME screw upgrade for Shapeoko Z-Axis

I am not home right now, I will try it out and post a video with my setup. I did try tighting one screw at a time, it made it very smooth to to turn, but the wobble is what I want to fix. Nevertheless, it is 100% better than the stock, so worth It.

Thanks!!

Re: ACME screw upgrade for Shapeoko Z-Axis

Re: Flanged ball bearing will not fit the Z-axis motor mount

I think the best thing to do is just get a new set that fits. I tried all the methods here, and I think i damaged the shim and/or the bearing. when i installed it (even with the z upgrade), i had a lot of z-wobble. and upon further inspections, it seems that when i sanded it was not "round enough". ...

I've been log-in daily to the site to see if it's available. I was wondering if it up on sale and sold out? doubt it.

Improvable Construct - Any ETA on when it'd go into stock?

Re: ACME Screws in the store!

I'm eagerly waiting for this to go on stock. I'm in the middle of my assembly, and the kit Z-axis just doesn't cut it. It wobbles too much.
