Re: Lead Screw Not Going Expected Distance
Looks like it was measurement error. Tried again and it worked well. Is a backlash of 3.2 thou normal for these smaller lead (M8) lead screws with non anti-backlash screws. Is there anyway I can make this better on my machine without upgrading the nut? Are there any CAM scripts that can compensate f...

Lead Screw Not Going Expected Distance
I got my hands on an indicator from Little Machine Shop to find out how much backlash my new lead screw machine has. To my surprise, when I sent a command through Chilipeppr for the X axis to go 0.01", it only went ~0.0088". I have 8mm/rev lead screws and have my TinyG set accordingly. My machine is...

Scaling Error
Hi, I picked up my TinyG this morning and got it set up with Chilipeppr with no trouble. To test my machine I'm using a sharpie to plot some text. The problem is Chilipepr says it will be about 61.09mm wide but it plots it so it is about 241mm, approximately 4x scale. I'm not sure if this is a Chili...

Running this on a rPi would be awesome. I will definitely try this on mine when it comes in.

Re: Kit vs. Individual Parts for Large Shapeoko
Thanks all! I did an excel sheet and it seems more expensive to source each part individually than the kit.

Kit vs. Individual Parts for Large Shapeoko
I'm looking to build a slightly larger Shapeoko (40mmx800mm) than whats provided in the kits. Is it cheaper to buy the kit and the extra Makerslide, or buying each part individuality?
Thanks in advance!
