If not, you could machine a pocket which just admits the endmill, set that to be zero, then start up the machine with the endmill in said pocket.
The pocket for zeroing worked perfectly. Thank you so much for the idea.

Cutting oversized stock

So Ive got a customer wanting a sign 45" wide and I was just wondering if anyone has come up with a way to cut oversized pieces as the shapeoko xxl max cutting width is 33". Would love to get some ideas and feedback on this.

Zeroing issue

So I have this logo that I want to cut out and fill with epoxy. My idea is to design the logo and save all the toolpaths. I first cut out the background and fill it with epoxy. After a couple days I want to set it back up into the CNC and cut out the lettering in the epoxy. But I am having a problem...

Inlay issue

So I attempted my first big maple leaf inlay. I used a 30 degree vbit to do the inlay. After sanding it all down I noticed that some or most of the corners had gaps. I am just wondering what could cause this and how i go about fixing it for future projects.

Hello, i recently bought the shapeoko 3 xxl and I want to get into some inlay work. I was wondering if anyone could help me get started of if they know any good tutorials to look at. I am also wondering if its possible to be done on carbide create. Thanks
