What spindle are you using? What is the diameter of the body?
Are you using the stock shapeoko spindle mounting plate?

Holding that sheet only along the edges is a problem. Sink a screw with a washer into the spoil board to hold that sheet down in the middle. Seriously, you need more hold-downs. I cut a piece of 0.5mm sheet the other day and had 6 hold-down points (all 4 edges and 2 in the middle) And more WD-40, lo...

I've switched to a 1.5mm diamond burr that does seem to work - sort of. Single flute or 2-flute upcut endmills. I accidentally tried a downcut endmill on aluminum the other day which led to almost instantaneous catastrophic failure of the endmill. As cvoinescu says, a diamond burr is not the best c...
