Re: Automatically Upload G-Code Files to G-Code Sender

It sounds like your system has fewer moves that go a greater distance. Probably no need to worry about streaming multiple commands. Just send one gcode and wait for a response from grbl (read until a newline). Communication is via COM port (or tty on *nix). Should be simple to write to the com port ...

Re: $11 DIY Dust Deputy (Dust Cyclone)

Using the leaktite lid is a really good idea. Will provide a much more stable attachment point than the standard lids.

Ever find pulse timing specs? The example on linuxcnc.org are seemed to be the default. I'm trying to coax more speed out my lathe.

Re: Which longer, X or Y?

Yeah, I've mostly seen the longer Y configuration. Just wondering if there is a reason for it, or just personal preference. Looking at mjohns thread, he JB-Welded the extrusions together. Re: Stepper driver options for LinuxCNC

Ok. But if you use WiFi, its wireless. :)

Which longer, X or Y?

I have 2 4' sections of MakerSlide and 1m misumi 20x20 extrusions. I will do dual X mod. I also have alum spacers. Which (X or Y) shou...

Idea for clearing chips
