Re: Universal Gcode Sender v1.0.7 released!

I think the problem is related to this: [JarClassLoader] INFO: findResource(): unable to locate "resources/MessagesBundle_en.properties" I've been too busy to work on things for a few weeks, and it will be a little while longer before I can dive in again. Is anyone else running this release on Linux?

Re: 3d vs 2.5d, is it well defined?

I was under the impression that the 3D aspect of 3D (versus 2.5D) was the contour profile/zig-zag operation because since it is generated from a 3D shape (i.e. remove all the material down to the contours of this shape). Of course, now that I think about it, a difference between normal pocket and pr...

Re: G code sender sends spindle to x:500

I added this to the Glossary: ;Post-Processor :A file which contains commands which a CAM program uses to generate G-Code which matches the capabilities of a given G-Code interpreter and the machine which a particular controller is attached to. Does that seem right / make sense? I would define it i...

Re: Univ GcodeSender bug

This will happen with the keyboard jog because the value of the spinner is not updated until the text box where the number is edited loses focus. (Reproduced on my slightly out of date fork.) When clicking an on-screen jog button, the value for the spinner changes before the action event fires for t...

Re: Z Axis Inaccurate (Overplunges)

Even if you don't see the obvious binding, raising the Z axis at seek rates (of more than about 10 ipm) will result in lost steps, and the Z will migrate lower.

Re: Bleeding Dollars

The benefit of the extra time and effort involved with the CNC solution often depends on how many times it will be reused. It might even be analogous to making a jig.

Re: 800w Chinese spindle

I've been entertaining the thought of venting the exhaust from my DW660 down into the dust shoe as a self-contained alternative to using compressed air for chip clearing. Is the exhaust from this spindle of high enough velocity to blow chips out of the channel? Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I317 using Xp...

Re: soundproofing enclosures?

My enclosure is 36" deep, to accommodate an extended ShapeOko. Had I not needed that much depth, I probably would have started with a cabinet of some sort from one of the recycled building materials places in the area. They had some promising looking rolling display cases that would have been great ...

Re: XStepper: New complete Hardware GRBL solution.

Actually, I confused the design comments about the jumper with the comments about the regulators. I thought the 12V reg was being designed out, but you were just describing your test setup. Reading is hard.
