Re: Free CAM package (that works!)

Looks like a nice CAM and easy to use as well! Thanks for doing this. I did start adding this to the wiki...

Re: It prints!

You may want to think about installing a fan. I'm using this fan right now: http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:30721

Re: QU-BD Extruder steps per setting.

Yes, Edward is correct - that last number are the extruder steps! I don't have this extruder on my Shapeoko but on my Ord Bot. If my memory serves me right I'm using something like 96 right now... however I think I did start with 106 too. You will need to measure and adjust your value for best print...

What building materials you keep at home?

This is a cross post, I did ask this also at buildlog.net - but I would like some input from you all as well. I'm getting tired to to run to ACE, Home Depot or Lowes for fasteners. Looks like there are always out of at least one item and I have to go to multiple stores. And it looks like the prices ...

Re: Any interest in a breakout to tidy up the wiring?

You may want to consider adding three more connections for the new buttons - as far as my memory serves me: A0 - Reset (but unlike hard reset this will keep position) A1 - feed hold A2 - cycle (re)start to GND I just wired the buttons this weekend and it works good - it's nice to be able to pause it...

Re: Want to make an auto touch plate with DW660, but no grou

Looks like it is working, but it could be better... I changed from $18=32 (homing dir invert mask, int:00100000) to $18=160 (homing dir invert mask, int:10100000) (remember my X axis is also reversed)... now the Z goes down. I did attache a screwdriver with ground to the Z axis and a piece of alumin...

Re: Want to make an auto touch plate with DW660, but no grou

Hello a new set of setup points in the V0.8 firmware allow to configure all this at run time so there is no need to compile. For example my X homing switch is on the left side so I did set $18 to invert the X axis. The same is possible for the Y and Z axis as well. Here are all the parameters I use ...

Re: Cross Platform Graphical Gcode Sender

I was just working on some of those features as a proof of concept: git clone https://github.com/alpharesearch/Universal-G-Code-Sender.git (unlike Wills build this is more a alpha, for example I don't lock the GUI down (I hope you know what you do)). https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ra9PhLLfd9s I'm h...
