Home switches

Did anybody add homing switches yet? I found some information on the wiki about the pins to use for GRBL on the Arduino... but what type of switch (maybe an example order number or picture) where exactly to mount the switches (some photos would be nice) how to mount the switches would help. I'm stil...

Yes, I think you nailed it... this is definitely the gold standard for open source hardware documentation, and also some commercial manufactures can learn from your work.

Re: Makerslide - is it really so special?

...Not sure what you exactly mean by inexpensive. IMHO,the price sold by Inventables for example can hardly be considered as inexpensive particularly, if you read again what Bart Dring said about the price ... Yes the $10 per meter sounded inexpensive, but to be honest I don't have a clue. I hope I...

Re: Makerslide - is it really so special?

Shapeoko uses Makerslide profile but can anyone explain what is so special with that Makerslide. There are more kinds of similar profiles like Makerslide.Or is there anything that they all miss in comparrison with Makerslide? Thanks I think Makerslide design is special because it works, is inexpens...

Re: grblShield and stepper wiring

If I have all three motors connected and all are laying on the table and the shaft points upwards what would be correct a clockwise or counter clockwise rotation after I enter g0z100x100y100? And would it make a difference if I swap the position of x y z?

Oriented in the direction you're talking about (like in this picture: http://www.synthetos.com/wiki/index.php ... grblShield) pin one would be on the right.
There is one thing that is really confusing and that it a little 1 that is printed on the left... or do I imagine things?

Re: I just wanted to share this: explorablemicroscopy

This is a very cool idea. However, what optics/camera would one use for a project like this. I have found that good microscopes and cameras are very expensive. This is true, my children have one of those magnifying Eyeclops cameras with TV output I think there are 100x or 200x. I did pay $20 at woo...

I just wanted to share this: explorablemicroscopy

I'm sure it would be no problem to mount a digital microscope on the z axis and write a little python script to take a picture and advance to the next posistion and create some "panoramas" like this: http://www.explorablemicroscopy.org/the-question I think by looking at the technical information tha...

Re: grblShield and stepper wiring

After the wiring is done I sure you want to study those two threads that talk about the grbl configuration and some Z axis issues:
