GRBL Hex File settings

Hi Everyone, I'm working on pre-loading the Hex file on the Arduino's for the Full Kits that Inventables is putting together. What settings have you guys found to be the best? The defaults that it comes with are: Grbl 0.8a '$' to dump current settings $0 = 755.91 (steps/mm x) $1 = 755.91 (steps/mm y...

Re: The increasing popularity of Shapeoko

Hey Everyone, I agree with Edward the biggest thing that makes the Shapeoko special to me is the community. When I saw the Shapeoko at Pumping Station One there was something about it that captured my imagination. I was a big CNC guy in high school but I haven't had access to one on a regular basis ...

Photos of parts made with Shapeoko

I would like to do a blog post about the Shapeoko operators and I'm looking for some good photos of parts made with the Shapeoko. I took a look at some in the gallery but was hoping in addition to those there might be some new ones of parts folks have made since posting. Does anyone have anything th...

Re: Makerslide - is it really so special?

Hi Everyone, With regards to the cost of MakerSlide I wanted to mention of a few of the facts of our situation. Currently Inventables is charging $8 flat rate shipping in the lower 48 states. The first production run is going to ship June 4th if you got in on that. Sorry for th...

Yes we are excited to report that the Shapeoko kitting will start next week and the initial batch of Maker Slide will ship on June 4th. We are placing a second order with the extruder to be able to stock MakerSlide on a regular basis.

Re: update

Hi Everyone, This is Zach Kaplan from Inventables. I am sorry that we haven't sent an email update since May 7th. Last weekend we were out at Maker Faire and built a test machine with the parts that we got in. Edward was there helping us debug some of the build and operating issues. We have everythi...

Re: Zach...can we get an Inventables update?

Hi Everyone, Here is a general update as of 4/24/12. As you all know we got enough orders to tip. This week we have been ordering all the components, packaging, and getting the factory set up to build the kits. We are working as fast as we can to get the machines shipped. The bottleneck is some of t...

Re: Inventables

Hi AtomSoft, Here are some quick answers to your questions: Are they already shipping this stuff out now? Nope not yet, we start ordering the components when the clock hits 0 so we know how many to order. Or is the count down still in use? Countdown is still in use: https://www.inventables.com/techn...
