Re: This obviously never happens .... Ever

Sounds like a defective stepper...

Can you get a replacement from the vendor you bought it from?

Re: Having a hard time getting frame assembled.

Yes, they definitely have to be clean, although the parts should be clean if you are just assembling the kit. I have noticed that I tend to get more jerky motion when the rails or wheels become clogged with debree from milling (the wheels feel like they are going over a speed bump when the carriage ...

Thanks.

Re: Unexpected Deflection Numbers for Rather Large ShapeOko

Edward, great job on the model, looks so sharp.

Is there a 3D CAD file like this somewhere which can be used by others to explore mods? I suppose, something like a model of ShapeOko baseline build, which others can use a starting point...?

Re: Success!! milling PCB... First PCB is and ARDUINO!!

Great work wlanfox, this is the most complete PCB milled with a ShapeOko I have seen on the forum. Some questions for you. Also great work characterizing the variation due to micro-stepping, this is the kind of analyses which will improve ShapeOko. 1) Isn't the arduino PCB dual-sided? The arduino ki...

Re: Unexpected Deflection Numbers for Rather Large ShapeOko

Sorry to revive this old thread again, but can anyone tell me what CAD software was used (by Edward) to generate this model?

I am re-uploading the image for ease of viewing
