Re: GrblGru = Free 3D-Simulation for ShapeOko2

I installed v1.19 - seemed to go okay. Setup.exe didn't create the data folder, but I'm assuming you got rid of that. I did expect it to put an icon on y desktop, but it didn't do that. When I opened GrblGru everything seems fine, no error messages. I did notice clicking on various help items from t...

Re: GrblGru = Free 3D-Simulation for ShapeOko2

Setup did not create a ProgramData directory. I'm going to delete everything and install v 1.19 now.

Re: GrblGru = Free 3D-Simulation for ShapeOko2

Thanks for your answers. The dialog box that said the installation may not have performed correctly comes up because Windows do not find an uninstallation program. You can ignore this. Do you see the GrblGru main-window ? (#8). Please , could you describe what happens when you start GrblGru.exe. Co...

Re: GrblGru = Free 3D-Simulation for ShapeOko2

First of all, thank you for trying GrblGru. Please see the attached pdf-file. I have made some screenshots during the installation from V1.17. This is the situation if everything looks fine. To solve the problem I have some questions to you: 1. Is this the first GrblGru installation on this pc, or ...

Re: GrblGru = Free 3D-Simulation for ShapeOko2

I just installed v1.17 on my Win 7 laptop. The setup dialog didn't ask me to choose a data folder, and it didn't create an icon on my desktop. The icon isn't a big deal, but I think the data folder is an issue because of write permissions needed. I ran setup.exe as administrator.

No, but I attached the Cadsoft Eagle files, you could have one made by oshpark.com (actually, you have to buy in multiples of 3 from oshpark). I also included in the gcode, so you could mill your own on the ShapeOko - which is what I did.

Re: Enabling Limit Switches (+ electrical noise on wires)

thank you so much for that. a couple of questions if you don't mind. where are the long cable runs in that schematic? meaning, are the reed relays next to the arduino or next to the limit switches? I'm guessing your relays and your indicator LEDs are next to the arduino. what are the purpose for th...

Re: Enabling Limit Switches (+ electrical noise on wires)

Hey Scott... so what did you eventually settle on for this? I've been disappointed when it comes to limit switches... the missing circuit to filter out and isolate noise from limit switches seems to be the biggest disappointment when it comes to the G-shield. Are you using limit switches? How did y...

Re: Need PCB Milling Settings

Wow. Great info!!! A few questions... If I am milling a pcb, wouldn't I just use the pcb as the touch plate? This way there is no need to translate. More, if I am going to use the auto leveling, it has to be between the pcb and the mill. Yes, that should work also but the problem I had when I tried...

Re: Need PCB Milling Settings

Hey Scott, what "G-Code Style" do you choose on your PCB-GCode? I am looking at all these options and my brain just returns (???). I am just about to run my first board. I am going to also be trying the auto leveling in ChiliPeppr. BTW, thanks for all these settings. I will add this to the global p...
