Re: Need PCB Milling Settings

By far the best bit I've used for making PCBs is the PreciseBits.com PCB Traces-isolation Bits EM3E8-0100-25V . You can get the same bit from soigeneris.com, P/N C5 - PB-EM3E8-0100-25V I've made over a dozen PCBs and haven't broken a bit yet. Previoulsy with a 0.0118" 2-flute micro carbide mill like...

Re: PCB milling tutorial?

Scott- I'm confused as to the exporting process from Eagle. I've tried exporting a .dxf from Eagle and opening it in Illustrator (to save it as an .svg), but the design gets resized (the pads are huge) in Illustrator which makes me think I'm making a mistake somewhere along the way. Would you mind ...

Re: Double Sided PCB

I remember reading somewhere that people were having luck doing DIY thru-hole plating, painting the holes with conductive ink first. I discovered something called PCB rivets and have been using these. I'm using them as a via, not as a "plated hole" that a part goes in. You can also put a part throu...

Re: Commands too long

Hello All, I am fairly new to this as well and am encountering the same issue. I am using Eagle to generate gcode for a pcb board. The Gcode loads into Universal Gcode Sender just fine and I can see the traces through the visualizer. I receive a very similar error saying that the Command #6 too lon...

Re: PCB Auto-Leveller for ShapeOko / TinyG

Hello, I am new to CNC machining and i have bought a Shapoko 2, my plan is to soon etch pcbs using it. I am trying to figure out how to use this autoleveler with a GRBL controlled machine and I am having problems. So when I try to do a test probe using the chilipeppr.com/grbl autoleveller my machin...

Re: Getting started with ChiliPeppr

Oh. I see, you're saying your Lenovo doesn't work with WebGL, but your Mac does work. It's probably the same issue. Graphics drivers are finicky and I'm not surprised older hardware doesn't work. Yes, that's correct. The two Lenovo laptops are pretty old - purchased Dec 2009. They have no issues ru...

Re: Getting started with ChiliPeppr

Are both your macbook and your lenovo laptop on the same network (presumably they're both network connected if you're getting to chilipeppr's website)? You can run the server software exe on the lenovo laptop and still use chilipeppr from the macbook by connecting to the IP address of your lenovo l...
