Schruminator 1.8m x 1.0m SO2

I've been a religious reader of these forums for the last few months and I figured that it is about time that I give back. Just a heads up, this post will probably end up being pretty lengthy :) As you can see in the picture below I have expanded my y-axis to 6 feet and left the x-axis at stock widt...

Re: How much runout should I expect?

I ran mine for the first time last night and the runout is pretty terrible too. With a new, straight bit and things snugged down a 0.125 inch bit is cutting a 0.179 inch path. I'm hoping it'll do well enough to cut new mounting brackets for a beefier spindle, although it would be nice if it was bett...

Re: $150 off Misumi Promotion

I ordered Tuesday or Wednesday of last week and as of this morning it has not shipped, so I don't know about the shipping charges. However, on Friday a very polite saleswoman called me just to explain a bit more about the company and ask what project I was working on. They certainly carry a wide var...

Re: PDF to CAM

I've only toyed around with it once (as I am still in the process of getting my SO 2 up and running), but you can use Inkscape (free) as a middle man to convert the PDF into a file that MakerCAM recognizes and then eventually get that into gcode for your machine. I don't have any links handy, but if...

Re: When is batch 2 shipping?

I was in the first batch and volunteered to be delayed until batch two. Anyways, yesterday I got my UPS tracking number and it looks like my full kit is finally on its way :)

Re: When is batch 2 shipping?

I was Batch 1, but with my crazy schedule over the last month I volunteered to delay getting mine.

Regardless, check your email-- I just got an email that said they hope to have mine shipped next week. So, a hair behind schedule (assuming no more snags), but it's not a big deal at the moment.

Re: Update on shipping ?

I'm in the same boat. I placed order #270-something for the ShapeOko 2 and I haven't seen anything pop up in my inbox (or mailbox) yet-- and dang, I was hoping to get it before this weekend! At least there's always next weekend :)

Re: Estimated Ship Date of ShapeOko V2

The date I have seen floating around for the expected shipping is December 21st. The parts won't arrive separately, they'll all come in one box as a kit to assemble.
