Letter Coaster Creation Help

So it figures that the part I get stuck on is the design aspect of the first project. I'm trying to create a letter 'J' as per the tutorial and I'm having a problem get the curves right in MakerCam. I know I could probably just download something suitable from google, but what is the fun in that. Ho...

Re: Proofread docs.shapeoko.com once again

This page http://docs.shapeoko.com/contribute.html helped me a lot. Once I saw that I knew it was going to be manageable.

Re: Canadians!

I had one of these in my hands in the store a few weeks ago. I figured that big handle would be too much of a pain and it didn't look very removable. Do you think it would cause issues sticking out like that?

Re: Proofread docs.shapeoko.com once again

'to have this difficulty than tne MXL pulleys on the original...' Screw Sizes (length) The final sentence...

Re: Proofread docs.shapeoko.com once again

Welcome! page The first section in the list of uses, after the fabric cutter is shows as '&c'. Is this as it should be or 'etc' this may be a browser thing though? In the Overview list, there seems to be some spurious capitalization especially on point 4. On 2,7 and 8 the link is also capitalized, b...

I'm assembling my machine tonight and probably tomorrow. I'll report if I find anything as I go.

Interference Reduction Options

I'm considering using shielded cable for the steppers motors, but I'm not sure about the details. I understand the benefits of them, just not sure what the actual implementation involves. Do you snip the motor leads down to a few inches, splice the shielded cable to the motor leads and run cable bac...

Has anyone felt a need to tap the ends of the extrusions that support the waste board?

Re: electronic enclosure

I purposely did not get the inventables enclosure. I want to build one, with the machine if I can, so this interests me a lot. I hope I learn something from that. I really need to get my machine assembled. I've been too busy staring at the new projects page and I also broke my tap in the last hole (...

Re: New Project Section for Website (BETA!)

The newest first change is great, thanks for that. I don't get the forum topic when I click on the 'View on Forum' link for the first three projects (the same three that were mentioned), did you get a chance to fix that? Other projects take me to the forum topic for the project. Maybe my browser has...
