Re: Limit switches - having some issues

Thank you both!
@ cvoinescu: I will measure voltage and get back to you
@ jbrewton: I have ground on NO, + on C.. is it ok ? I've heard that it's safer if they're ON all the time - I get that by using NC?

cheers

Re: Limit switches - having some issues

That's a good question.
I'm measuring it in serial (one pin of multimeter on pin 11, other one on incoming cable).

Re: Limit switches - having some issues

It's not the switch, I've tried 5 different switches, and with all of them pin11 gives me 2,5mA instead of 0A (when pressed).

Re: Limit switches - having some issues

Here is the current status. I've measured the amount of current passing through my 9/10/11 pins when I press the switches. pins 9/10 I=0,13mA (switch pressed) I=0,00mA (switch off) pin 11 I=0,13mA (switch pressed) I=2,5mA (switch off) Obviously the problem is in the pin11, which lets 2.5mA current e...

Re: Limit switches - having some issues

Thanks, I should have checked the grbl pin layout before connecting.
I've changed positions to 9, 10, 11. But now it's the pin num 11 that doesn't work.

hmm..i'm really confused now.

Re: Limit switches - having some issues

Thanks! I'm using .8c. It looks like you're probably right - whatever limit-switch I plugin the pin8 (I thought it was nu 10 when I was posting the topic) it stops working. Pins 9 and 10 are working OK! Is there a way I can check what's the reason for the faulty pin - UNO or grbl ? Most probably Uno...

Limit switches - having some issues

Hey there! I've just installed my limit switches on my X, Y and Z axis. X and Y limit do actually stop the SO2 when the carriage hits them. But Z axis does nothing, I've tried multiple times. I've checked the connectivity from all the switches through my x/y/z pins on the grbl, they work fine. Then ...

Re: GRBL releases on GitHub

Hopefully I'll be able to test it out during next week.
Will post my findings, if you could do the same that would be great :)
