Re: Vacuum Table for Shapeoko 2

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZXd-dB3k2mg Warning, turn off sound. Just thought I would post a video of it in action. I was surprised that it held so well for the video. I don't think it would be enough to hold down your work without modification but I think it is a good start. I may try to add m...

Re: Vacuum Table for Shapeoko 2

After working with it as it is, I don't know if it would be practical for it to be the only holding method. I do think that it might work well at keeping my working material that have bows in it flat against the waste board so my depth cuts will be more accurate.

Vacuum Table for Shapeoko 2

I wanted to see if I could make a vacuum table for my Shapeoko 2, so over the weekend I came up with this. Re: Z-Axis Fail

I have not seen this stated in this thread so I thought I might bring it up. Have you tapped the nut with a M8 tap. When I received mine It was very tight and seem to bind. I tapped it and it is now very smooth and have not had any issues with it. I even have a heavier Rotozip as my spindle.

photo (1).JPG photo 1.JPG photo 3.JPG Here is my spindle solution. I have made many cuts with it already including the box and bottle opener in the picture. I just stood the Zipsaw on its end so it was perfectly straight and put it as close to the alum brackets as possible and started hot gluing.

Re: Free Beta signup for new CAD/CAM package

Does anyone know the status on this? I have had my Shapeokoo 2 up for a week now and I want to start learning/using a CAD program, thought the timing of EaselCAM might have been good, but now I am wondering.

Re: When is batch 2 shipping?

Did you notice in the email that they are giving the people effected by this 50 dollar Visa card. That really says something. I have been dreaming about this machine for weeks now, but I think they are handling it well and have a lot of respect for the company. You never know how good a company is u...

When is batch 2 shipping?

I noticed that the shipping date has changed for new orders. Is the batch 2 orders still shipping in mid Jan? I
