Help! One pololu driver is getting hot + motor sound
I have a stepper shield from reactivesubstance.com (http://www.reactivesubstance.com/shop.html) Y'day I've noticed one stepper motor is making a little sound (like shhhhhhhh :-) ). And I found corresponding driver is getting hot. I did, 1. swap drivers - the new driver in the same socket getting hot...

The Pololu low-current DRV8824 drivers should work fine, I would guess. Saying that the information given by the seller is sparse is putting it mildly. Once I have them in hand, I'll be able to guess at what kind of voltage and current they expect. I plan to drive them with a linear audio amplifier...

So... When are you going to motorize that ShapeOko Jr. design? As it is, the build's not even halfway one... You can get steppers so small that they fit inside a Bic pen...
