Re: Fusion 360 - Combining Toolpaths into one Post Process f

Select the setup and run post process. This will run all the individual operations in that setup through post process and produce one file. But if you need to make tool changes, it's best to export them out as individual tool paths like you did before.

Re: bCNC problems sending code

I can't see any log file produced by bCNC. But I included the system log file if that was what you ment. The bCNC crash should be at the very end of that log if there is anything there. I haven't looked on the log myself yet, I need to get some sleep now:) I'll look more into it tomorrow, but I appr...

bCNC problems sending code

I'm having a strange problem with bCNC. It operates the machine just fine. I can jog around, set zero and home etc. when I load a gcode file I can see the tool paths and I can run the "scan" macro fine. But when I try to send the code, it will shut down the program completely and even log off my use...

Re: Where to purchase brass or aluminum shim?

I usually use strips from a beer can I cut up. Or if I need something specific I just sacrifice a cheap blade from a feeler gauge set.

Re: SO2 lost calibration?

This is one advantage of the type of stepper shield I use, if I break one it's a simple drop in replacement. Other then that I have been looking at the tinyG for a more beefy solution. Perhaps one day I'll get one of those.

Re: SO2 lost calibration?

Swap the X & Y wires on the g shield to check if it's the chip on the Y axis?

Re: Limit Switch Wiring?

Not quite perfect. The probe did not work. I think when the signal from the probe got inverted through the IC, GRBL did not understand the value it received. And I got an error when starting the probe command. Luckily I caught this error early on the breadboard. To fix it I just ran the signal throu...

Re: Milling PCB, components flipped

The DRC (design rule check) doesn't help with workflow problems. It just ensures the board is laid out according to the rules, not that you do the right thing with the output... I hoped I could be able to add some checks of my own. Would be a nice feature. I think I'll be printing it on paper first...

Re: Milling PCB, components flipped

Figured it out: File-> Run ULP -> Choose the "mirror-board.ulp" file and hit open. I printed the mirrored one onto a piece of paper and tried the IC. The pins now match up as they should :D See, I knew there was an easy fix. No redoing it! I'm very glad I don't have to juggle a mirror image of the b...

Re: Milling PCB, components flipped

I don't know either. I'll work on it more tonight. Is flipping a layer the same as mirroring a layer?
