Re: Good general purpose power supply?

I use the same one for my machine. Never had a problem with it.

Re: Milling PCB, components flipped

Maybe my question needs to be put more precisely. I don't expect anything, I am asking for the best practice on how to deal with this when milling PCB's. That said I'd be surprised if Eagle did not have some function to deal with this, I just haven't found out how yet. So far my googling of the "pro...

Milling PCB, components flipped

Hey. So I milled my first PCB this weekend, and it was mostly a success. The board looks perfect. BUT: I designed everything on the top level. and when I go to solder it I have to put the components in from the other side (I can only solder on the copper side). And now everything is flipped over, so...

Re: Limit Switch Wiring?

Could you please take a look at my schematic Catalin? Is there something wrong or missing. Or did I misunderstand completely? :) If everything is OK, I will try to route and mill this soon. It's been a steep learning curve with Eagle, but I think I can make a board now if only my schematic checks ou...

Re: Limit Switch Wiring?

How do I wire the probe? Should it also have all the same filter components like a switch, or just through the IC?

Re: Limit Switch Wiring?

My brain had a melt down over the schematics so I changed tactics and just copied the breadboard  . It seems to work with the little testing I've done. Without it I get false triggers every time I run a 2min job. With the filter in place I can run compressor, shop vac and spindle and the cn...

Re: Limit Switch Wiring?

Of course I did not get any 0,1uF. Is this value critical? I've got more of the 0,047uF ceramic, or I have 1uF electrolytic and polyester/box type ones.

Re: Limit Switch Wiring?

Here's more or less how I have my limit switches wired. I'm leaving the three spare inverting buffers unused (they could be used for a probe, for instance). I've only shown the two X axis switches: Y and Z connect the same way. Filter_bb.png Please note that the switches I found in Fritzing have th...

Re: Problem with ramps and lead in Fusion.

Interesting, thanks. I'll try that too. Loss of accuracy is not really a concern for a helical move, since it's basically just a way to get the bit down into the material before starting to hog it out.
