Really far off on the z, or is it wasteboard?

I can't seem to figure out what the actual problem is. I have machined a few parts since doing my best to level the wasteboard to be square with the spindle. my larger (1/2in thick) parts clearly show that my spindle seems to be tipped 'forward' when cutting. I have also noticed when cutting some 2m...

Re: $150 off Misumi Promotion

Hey... I've read all the feedback on our processes, and, truth be told, our billing/invoice systems are not up to snuff. You guys are right. We dropped the ball in some cases. Keep posting the truthful feedback, because it helps me show the company leadership how we can get better. Without this, I ...

Re: Clarification of the buttons in UGS

I don't know if that's so much a problem w/ UGS as it is w/ the Arduino and the PC disagreeing on USB connectivity. I've often found that it was best to: - include a command to go home at the end of a G-Code file - close the connection - Quit out of the communication program - reload the communicat...

Clarification of the buttons in UGS

I'm having a hard time, and maybe it's just me, but there seems to be an issue with my universal G code sender software. I have the latest version. When I run a job, after it finishes, shouldn't I be able to hit "return to zero" and have it go back to my start zero position from before job? I want t...

Re: z axis motor stalls

Good news, looked like loosening the two top vertical "motor plate to makerslide" screws and re positioning the plate got rid of most if not all of the vibration and stalling.

Re: z axis motor stalls

My z axis rod wobbles pretty bad, slightly better than the previous one that came with my SO2 kit did, but its still pretty bad. I don't know why its wobbling around if the rod its self seems relatively straight when rolled on a flat surface.

z axis motor stalls

I have been getting some weird reactions on my z as well as the other motors .sometimes when spinning the z will stall and almost vibrate. I checked and the coupler is tight. the nema 17 literally seems to not be strong enough to spin the spindle up and down. sometimes even without the spindle mount...
