Re: 2.5d or 3d

Downloading is not a problem, as if I have trouble at home, I can do it at work and bring it home on a thumb drive. I will check into Cambam. Still really unsure what 2.5d or 3d means.

Thanks for the reply,

2.5d or 3d

Hello Guys - What really is 2.5d? Do I need a cam program that is 3d or is 2.5d what I need? I just got the ShapeOko 2 up and running and haven't decided on a cam program as yet. I have been writing my programs by hand. My machine is straight from the standard kit with no upgrades yet. I need a free...

And if you talk to any salesmen don't mention the budget. Surprising how often the price comes in right at the budget if they know it ahead of time.

Re: Stepper motors not rotating

In that case I would take it apart again and run the screw through the nut several times till it runs smooth and clear. I know it's a pain but it should run freely then. I had mine apart this way three or four times but it runs real smooth now.

Re: What will accept ALL g-code?

Thanks for all the replies. I am not down grading the system I have at all. But since I write most code by hand, looping and variables would be an awesome improvement. I intend to keep on with it the way it is and see what the future holds.

What will accept ALL g-code?

I have built an SO2 with Arduino and gshield. This is really cool. Is there a way to get it to accept ALL g-code? This seems quite limited without being able to accept looping or variables or conditional statements. Sub-programs would be nice to use as well. I made programs for a laser cutter at wor...

Re: Stepper motors vibrating

Mine did that after I plugged the gshield into the Arduino in the wrong holes. Replaced Arduino and all is well now. Had gshield plugged in 1 hole off from where it should be.
