Re: Wooden Gear Clock Build Log

Hello and Happy New Years to all. Hope you all are healthy and happy. - Clockit, I am trying to work on this clock. I am trying to find the route of power through the clock to each hand of the clock. (Then I will have a better understanding of the clock and be able to devise what gears are tight or ...

Re: Shapeoko 3 interpolating hole size incorrectly

Have you tried making a complete program for only 1 hole. No other parts of the program and then read the g-code and see what it says. You then run the program and see what results you get. This can sometimes be very telling. For example if you are using a bit that is a diameter of 0.125 and looking...

Re: Wooden Gear Clock Build Log

Well that is probably why I couldn't find a reference to it. All makes good sense when you hear the whole story.
Still looking forward to seeing more in this post. Very interesting.

Good personal defense system. People were killed with rocks long before guns were invented. At the very least you might chase someone away with it.

Re: GrblGru = Free 3D-Simulation for ShapeOko2

It would appear that AnonymousPerson called it correctly. The virus detector (Avast) is what was causing the problem. I need to disable it while I start or run these programs. For whatever reason, it will not allow them to run while it is on. They seem to work well with the Avast turned off, however...

Re: GrblGru = Free 3D-Simulation for ShapeOko2

I really believe it is my problem. Not sure what yet, but I also downloaded your clockit program and it also will not run. They both unzip alright, but will not run. From your post, the file size is correct. Have to get more time to try, but right after lunch, I need to go out and mess with all this...

Re: GrblGru = Free 3D-Simulation for ShapeOko2

Hello and thank you for adding to the list of freeware programs that are available. I downloaded your 7z file, unzipped it, (after downloading an unzip program that would do the job and installing it) and it unzipped. All the samples appear to be there, and the install program as well. The install p...

Re: Wooden Mason Jar

If I understand correctly, you wanted to run this as U shaped stock before finalizing the cutting. Why not do part of the cut, telling the cam program you are leaving a large finish cut to be done with another tool. Then go into the nc program and simply delete the first part. Maybe that would work ...
