Re: I2C remote

I agree with chamnit. I would much rather have a consistent planner than s-curves when running my experiments. At this point, I don't know if s-curves would buy me much at all, even if they came with a consistent planner. If I find I do need s-curves, then I could do that myself at the CAM level sin...

It's not quite to where I want it yet, but it should work for simple tasks like the following: v1.png v2.png Its biggest weakness right now is that it assumes an infinitely tall cutter. That's a neat bug. One of the libraries I use must clip to the page boundary; I didn't intend jscut to do that! You can work around the bug for now by extending the page size in Inkscape. Here's something else which will make it easier to use with jscut: make your rectangles a solid color and subtra...

Re: Open source CAM that can edit gcode files?

Can you post your svg file? I'd like to take a look. Give it a .txt extension to post here, or use jscut's "Save Settings" -> Gist command and post the gist link.

Re: Quick change spindle option?

Maybe you could buy multiple Spindle Carriage Assemblies. Just remove the spoiler board, run the Z axis down until the screw leaves the lead nut, slide it the carriage off, slide a new one on, run the Z axis back up, and replace the spoiler board. Not quite quick change, but it may beat unscrewing a...
