Re: Calculate steps

I used to try with 20mm, but the same error then... You said something about backlash, this might be right, do you know what part that I need to fix to remove backlash? Same 0.5mm error with with 20mm travel? I'm not sure it's backlash.. Backlash represent the error (or the free play) of the pulley...

Re: Calculate steps

I just can't seem to get this to work... With the 54,6806... when it is suppose to move 10mm it moves 9,5, I then use the auto calibrating tool, ask it to move 10mm, and I punch in that it moved 9,5. Re: Strange error at Gcode Sender Version 1.0.7

Hi Will Adams, Sorry but you will need to explain that to me in a more simple way... I've looked into the link you sent me and I've tried to use GCode Truncater (but an error shows up saying that "Input string is not on a correct format") and I've tried to use Gcode Post Processor (but i don't know...

Re: Axis USB TB6560 Nema23 3.0A

it has 4 drivers so I don't see why no. In Mach3 you can slave one motor to the other and I'm pretty sure it's the same on other software.. LA What electronics use for you machine? Currently I use a cheap ~10$ BOB wired to the gshield, Mach3 with Gerry's 2010 screenset and VistaCNC MPG. I really li...

Re: Calculate steps

Hello, cvoinescu; In the shapeoko wiki it tells me that GRBL is 8 microsteps, and adds up to 40 steps/mm, and I Googled that G540 uses 10 microsteps so I changed the 8 to a 10 and calculated again and it gave me 50 steps/mm This value I punched into Mach3. I used the auto calibratin and that gave m...

It must have been a noise problem. I put a CAP between the lead at the BOB and it took care of the issue.
Don't you use g540? I thought it has internal pull up and filtering.. Or I was wrong. Any way, are you using shielded wire? Did you ground the shield?

Re: deal alert section?

Well, here might be a good solution for now.
Amazon has 50% off on dewalt routers (and maybe other stuff as well?)
