Re: Looking for instructions on how to mount Drag Chain

I chose the large zip ties also, they are working well for me. Instead of wire molding I used a length of PVC pipe I had lying around. Initially I had problems with the zip tie flopping over, but I solved that by running 2 of the big zip ties in parallel, and using smaller secondary ties to keep the...

Re: Cutting ABS Project Enclosures

Probably similar... settings on that page were developd with all different kinds of spindles, the quiet cut spindle is only half the power of a DW660 tho. So its all very experimental and you just have yo write down what works for your setup.

Re: Carbon Fibre 3.5mm

Just a FYI for G10, it is also hazardous like carbon fiber you must be using a respirator + vacuum with a very fine filter in it, and a well ventilated area. Sure, but not nearly to the level that carbon is. G10 will cause minor irritation, and while long exposure to it is obviously not good for yo...

Re: Carbon Fibre 3.5mm

That mounting plate looks killer. Very nicely done. Where did you purchase the carbon fiber sheet from if you don't mind me asking? I'm prototyping some parts for r/c pan cars for oval racing and the final product would be carbon fiber sheet. The problem is the best pricing I'm finding is upwards o...

Re: Double cutter-head design?

you mean a single carriage with 1 X and 1 Z motor, but with 2 spindles? or two entirely separate carriages, each with it's own X and Z motor, but riding on a single X axis rail? You've got 1000 x 1000, heck why not go for 4 instead of 2 by mounting two gantries on one set of Y rails. Would give new ...

Re: Looking for speed control for 600 Watt spindle

Just found your other post saying that you are running at 48V. I will assume brushed, also, since you said you CAN use your current speed control you had for the quiet cut spindle, which is brushed. In that case I'd get: this ESC, or something similar: http://www.astroflight.com/204d.html and this B...
