Re: Makercam Crashing Browser on Chrome

Attached is a picture. Those non filled iwth green arrow circles are .125" diameter circles. I have it in makercam as .11" bit. This usually works. Maybe it's just not showing up on some for one or another reason? Usually when it does this it doesn't work. Any ideas? I'm using the installed flash ve...

Re: Makercam Crashing Browser on Chrome

When I click on .swf it brings me to another browser version that fails the flash. Doesn't take me to an installation spot. I downloaded partkam.swf... but how do I install and run it? Regardless, the browser still missed key pockets bc it like freezes. I'm trying to pocket .125" holes with a .11 bi...

Re: Milling Aluminum - First Results

Hey, I've been using a DC quiet spindle. It seems from what I am reading WAY too slow. Here's the terrifying problem I've experienced. When my quiet spindle goes around a circular piece it catches a snag or piece and dives into my metal which is already like 1/2 way through cutting ! Its terrifying!...

Re: Problem with circles

Better router may tear through these possible cathcing spots around the circles?

I'm using quiet spindle now to cut 5052 aluminum. I'm thinking Dewalt dw660 with speed controller?

Re: Material Advice

Using it for tank tread housing for a robot. the tension is considerable. ABS and all other normal plastics haven't "cut" it yet.

DW660 & Cutting Aluminum

Hey Guys, I have been using the Quiet Spindle for cutting 5052 aluminum. It's terrifying and miserable, fearing that the router will catch an edge going around the circle bend and dive into the aluminum. Almost like a plane crash. I've developed literally a psychosis from fearing it will happen. I'm...

Re: URGENT ERROR - WILD LOOP!

Will - just saw your post at hte end of the last page - OK.

But still puzzled by random gcode.

would having a .123 diameter value for a .125 bit have something to do with nipping the edges?
