Re: Jtech laser

The J-Tech PWM grbl 9g supports both Spindle with Z axis commands & Laser with S power commands. The laser control range is S0-S255. It's also the proper 1khz PWM frequency on pin 11 for the J-Tech laser driver. It executes the S commands in real time without any dwelling like what you get with the ...

Re: Jtech laser

If your using the J-Tech grbl 9g look and see if grbl setting $14=1 is set like that. If it's set at $14=0 it will not move. Grbl 9j does not have that setting.

Re: Jtech laser

9j uses Pin 11 & ground for PWM laser control. The J-Tech PWM grbl does also. If you click cancel to stop the gcode streaming in PicSender it will turn off the PWM & laser. Also, PicSender will run any type of gcode files that is compatible with grbl's standards.

Re: Jtech laser

It may just be a modulation wire connection issue if it comes on with CW. Also unless you use the J-Tech PWM grbl, the PWM frequency is not correct for there driver. It will require a higher S value before it will come on.

Re: Jtech laser

What grbl are you using? Have you tried reflashing the grbl to the Arduino again or done a reset with the Arduino?

Re: Jpeg image convert to work with GRBL

Take a look at our PicEngrave Pro 5 also. It's for both spindle & laser engraving photos/images.

It has some very unique features no other image to gcode program has to offer.
