You need the stepper motor driver.
You cant drive it direct from your arduino.

Connecting Nema 23 to Synthetos GRBL Shield

Hi,

I need some help from members here.
I am goin to change the stepper motor for the Y axis from nema 17 to nema 23.
Nema 23 have 6 wire.the extra wire is white and yellow.how do i connect it to the GRBL shield from Synthethos.

After flashing the firmware it's still same.
I am not sure whats the problem though.

Will,

delay on motor movement.
I am using CamBam to generate Gcode.
i have to go back using the original Gcode sender while you take a look at problem :)

Everytime I send a gcode there's a pop up shown unhandled error serial port: null
But the motor move to the exact location
What is that mean.
I am using Win7.
Other than that all seems OK :)
