Re: Confused Noob

So, the simple way to do it is: 1. Use a bitmap tracing program such as Inkscape and save it as SVG (so you can edit it again). 2. Once you're satisfied with it, use www.makercam.com to define the cuts 3. You'll save the file from Makercam as a .NC file (it's a text file, you can open it, has a lot ...

Re: What do you use to clean your slide wheels?

Re: Noise containment

Haha at some point I was thinking of cutting fiberglass plates below water so the dust wouldn't go airborne and become a health hazard. Noise containment

Hi there, Now that I have dust containment done (and some noise as well), I'd like to further noise containment. I have my ShapeOko inside a clear acrylic enclosure, I also have a waterproof "basin" under the enclosure (thinking I would cut fiberglass and carbon fiber under water, haven't done that ...

Re: How would you cut (mill) a shape on a thin sheet of copp

Actually, sandwiching between 2 sheets of plywood then cutting by waterjet worked for me. We did it just last week.

The sandwich is clamped down to the material support grid.
