Re: Buildlog.net Stepper Shields available in the UK

Thanks go to Bart Dring for designing this board (it is buildlog.net part number C16013 Rev 3) and to @ejs of Reactive Substance for making this version of it . CV, I'm so glad these are up in your storefront. A link to your shop is now a part of my international store page. Thank you for volunteer...

Re: Buildlog.net Arduino Compatible Stepper Shields availabl

Dual Y Setup Ok. Thanks I probably needed to know that to. But that isn't exactly what I was asking. Is this setup correct? http://www.shapeoko.com/wiki/index.php/Dual_Motor Or does the (A)axis need 2 jumpers like the (Y)axis? And on the 6 pin connector the 2 jumpers go on the (A and D) pins? The v...

Re: Buildlog.net Arduino Compatible Stepper Shields availabl

Can you give the pin settings for dual Y also. Thanks. Sure thing. To reverse the direction of a single motor, you want to swap *one* pair of leads. For example, in the directions at reativesubstance.com, the builder is directed to install the leads in order from left to right as green, black, red ...

Re: Buildlog.net Arduino Compatible Stepper Shields availabl

The board layout is walked through in the video instructions found at http://j.mp/Lal92X It's a pretty straight forward build, with things marked on the surface of the board itself. As for the jumper settings, I've reworked the truth table from the A4988's data sheet. http://www.reactivesubstance.co...

Re: Buildlog.net Arduino Compatible Stepper Shields availabl

Hi @ejs Will version 4 of the board have limit/home switch capability? Anything else it will support? Thanks Rich Rich, Limit switches shouldn't be an issue. Adding switches to the v3 boards is likely possible with the 0.8b GRBL build, it just won't look as pretty as having the capability built in....

Re: Buildlog.net Arduino Compatible Stepper Shields availabl

Hi All, As of this week the international issues with Stamps.com's software has now affected domestic shipments as well. Sales have been good in the past 6 weeks, but incredibly time consuming as I've had to go back and cross check a lot. Please email or PM me if you have ordered more than a week ag...

Re: Buildlog.net Arduino Compatible Stepper Shields availabl

Just so everyone is aware, international generally gets delayed because no phone number is provided by the buyer. Customs requires it. Shipping software won't print without it. It's a pain for you and I both. Please provide it in the comments when checking out. Also, to zenwebb About to pull the tri...

Re: GRBL 0.8b homing and hard limit example video

Cool. Found at https://github.com/csdexter/grbl Anyone working on further hardware documentation, pretty please link or post. Also, if we go to metal v-wheels, we can make it a one wire solution and ground the entire frame and gantry, connecting the switch's other lead right to it http://www.shapeok...

Re: It's time for a metal v-wheel

This is interesting, Dave. I had no idea that the inner races tend to be taller than the outer. But I wonder if this would be an advantage. Per cvoinescu's notes (different thread) on the twisting distortion between the inner and outer races, my observation is that with the inner races taller, pushi...

Re: Precision washers were causing slop: what I did to fix i

Now that's an idea i can get behind. unfortunately it's not an identical part for both sides. For production purposes it might be easier if it were the same on both sides, think there is anything that can be done here? I understand the need for the screws, maybe two screws as through holes and two ...
