I am not going to use to upgrade a S3. I have Modified S2 so this is just going to be another performance enhancement for my S2.

Who as upgraded thier Z-Axis to a C-Beam Liniar Actuator? How do you like it? I am putting this on my list of updates that I am going to be doing on my machine.

I have been cutting alum at .002-.004 in. at between 30-40 in/min with very good results. Sounds very similar. Converting to millimeters: 0.0508mm - 0.1016mm and 762mm/min and 1016mm/min. Thinking through this a bit further: if I went down to 0.05mm I should be able to safely go to 1120mm/min. When...

Overall my take has always been that Edward has always worked on developing the best possible product with the least cost to the consumer. Now you have to realize that since it is a full on Kit you have to build and that it is using Free open source software that there will be a lot of studying that...

Like Will said starting point you will have to do some trial and error to get it all down. You will learn how much and how fast you can push your machine it just takes a lot of practice. I have had my machine for a little over a year and I am still learning. On hard woods on my makita I run my route...
