Slow movement when not cutting
Hi, I've got my Shapeoko 2 feed rate set to 60, and when it is cutting it is moving according to that value. But when the machine is moving the spindle to a target position above the stock without cutting, it moves too slow. I was wondering if there is a way to tell it to move faster when it is not ...

Using my Dremel without the motor brushes
Hi,
I am not sure if this is the right place to post this, but my Dremel 4000 motor brushes ran out and I am waiting for a new pair to be delivered to me. In the meanwhile, can I still use the Dremel tool without the brushes until the new ones arrive?
Thanks

Re: Running long jobs using default shapeoko rotary tool
I also seem to recall that people have had issues with the collet loosening during long jobs which causes the tool to get pulled out into the workpiece. Running long jobs using default shapeoko rotary tool
Hi , I was testing out my Shapeoko last week, one of the tests I did was carving a 3d model. The process took around 2.5 hours of work to be done, would the default tool included in the full kit handle such long jobs? I purchased 1/8" with 1/4" head (straight/round/ and v bits ) from mlcs (http://ww...

Is a dust shoe a must?
Hi, I've been trying out my Shapeoko for the past week, I've created a wooden enclosure for it but noticed that there are a lot of dust on the v-wheels and rails. I do hover the dust every now and then while running a job but not sure if this will cause a problem in the long run? I cant keep the vac...
