Re: Limit, E-stop,and other connectors on CM board

Good points. So basically put this all the way upstream as the first thing on the power line coming out of the wall. I was planning on using a beefy power strip to plug router (thru SuperPID), SO3 Powersupply/CM board and a 5V wall wart (SuperPID card) into. Vac will be separate. So snip the power s...

Re: Limit, E-stop,and other connectors on CM board

Should I buy a NO or NC Estop button for the SO3? Looked for answer and could not find other than a previous post question in this thread.

What does the CM board require?

Re: Shielding wires

What type of USB connection port is used on the Carbide Board? Is it for the more common flat USB male end or one of those "square" male connectors? Thinking of getting a high quality USB cable with a ferrite bead and most I can find have a flat common USB on one end and the "square-ish" male connec...

Re: Limit, E-stop,and other connectors on CM board

Guess you could fashion a 2 pin connector from 2 single pin breadboard jumpers if all else fails. Not pretty though.

Will any type of Estop button work or is there a specific kind/spec?

Re: Shapeoko 3 enclosure thoughts

I don't have my SO3 yet but I'm trying to gather everything I can ahead of time - including the enclosure parts. Ive seen all the dimensions incl the dwp611 additional height. I was fortunate to get Improbable Constructs dust shoe. I know I'll need to offer enough hose for free movement throughout t...

Re: SuperPID help

I was planning to use a grounded cable at least to ground the SuperPID thru the mains. What's not clear to me is that the DWP611 is only 2 prong and has no ground wire. So just a positive and neg out to router from PID. I could ground the outlet to plug the router into but it's a dead end since ther...

Re: SuperPID help

@CastIrony Nice mod. I did the wire jump this afternoon while watching the Blackhawks lose on my DWP611. Next step is to finish the sensor mount and paint. Question for you on the SuperPID board to router connection. Looks like you used an orange cable. Did you snip off the end of a extension cord a...

Re: Shielding wires

Thanks Will. I'm the guy who will add 1-2 more screws into the wall when hanging a shelf. I'll almost always go for heavier gauge anything - Winter coats, wires, screw size, straps, etc... So yes this might be overkill but then if I didn't...nevermind...I can't imagine that at all.
