Hellcat Logo with F-Engrave

Hi! Just wanted to show you guys my first project with F-Engrave. I think it came out pretty good, what do you think? Any ideas of what i could do to give it a finished product kind of look? I've done near zero woodworking so all this is pretty new to me. This is from a 1/2 inch plywood sheet, what ...

Re: Carbide Motion Board 5V output pins

Thanks for checking that out Beemer533! I think that should be the normal behavior for those pins in either rev but until someone else with a rev 2.2 confirms what voltage is read from those pins I guess I won't be able to determine if my CM board is kind of faulty (since everything else seems to be...

Re: Headless operation for the SO3?

Mine's headless with a Raspberry Pi 2. I had to attach a voltage converter to power it and do a little soldering, but it was easy to do: Voltage converter: http://amzn.to/1Ga9ukq Added in a small usb wifi nic and a short, right angle usb as well and voila: It loads up the ChiliPeppr client on boot,...

Re: [SO3] Tips On Getting My Hall Effect Limit Switches Atta

I've made some nice little hall effect limit switches. The trick is that I haven't figured out how to mount them on my machine yet. Anyone have good experience with this? I've seen a few random examples for mechanical switches, but even then the photos of them aren't great. I have installed mine (m...

Re: Carbide Motion Board 5V output pins

Judging by all the resistors and caps near the limit switch headers on the CarbideMotion v2.1 board, it looks like they have already included the necessary circuitry to avoid having to wire both sides of the switches. But that still leaves my question - does the firmware expect them to be NC or NO?...

Re: Carbide Motion Board 5V output pins

I can check my board tonight, but it is a 2.1 version so i am not what actually changed (other than the removal of the dip switches) between the 2 versions.. Is the 5v needed for the limit switches? I have the twforeman kit and it doesn't use 5v... What wiring diagram are you referring to for your ...

Carbide Motion Board 5V output pins

Hi all, I've been working lately in my S3 adapting limit switches and while most of the wiring is done I've come into a problem. I did the wiring for the limit switches as the photo below from forum member cvoinescu in which I'll need 5V, GND and the limit pins limit-switch-series-parallel.jpg After...

Re: Limit Switch Wiring?

Nice wiring job! Assuming you have an S03 with the CM board, you only need the C and NC terminals wired from each limit switch... No separate 5v connection. Thanks, took me a while. Yes, forgot to mention that, I have an S3 and CM board... But as I mentioned, I followed cvoinecsu diagram (6 posts a...
