Re: Milling fonts

I use the CamBam Stick Fonts for my cribbage boards. Here is (I am almost positive it is) font #3, cut with an 0.0236" bit from drillman1 . The holes are 0.0781" and the center line is also 0.0236". I use his bits almost exclusively because, well, they're inexpensive, and most of the time if I break...

Re: Line Art to Create

And to take it one step further, you can save that vector file as a DXF file and import it into a sketch (I use SolidWorks, so it is probably different than F360, but I am sure it can be done) and extrude that 2D sketch into a 3D model, for 3D printing. Re: Exporting G-Code from Aspire for Shapeoko

I have created gcode (using the Shapeoko - inches PP) in V-Carve for my SO3 for diamond drag engraving and it has worked out fine. I have not done any actual v-carve code yet though.

EDIT: I guess I should say I am using Carbide Motion for my SO3.

Re: SO3 Extrusion Support Brackets

My plan is to use the Misumi T-slot plates mounted to a box beam base made of 3/4" - 1" MDF. That will give me one straight edge to start with, and with a good square I would like to think that I can get the other dimension square.

SO3 Extrusion Support Brackets

In this thread I mentioned brackets for the extrusions that have the same hole pattern as 1-2-3 blocks so the rails can be raised for thicker materials. Here are some pics of what I Was talking about. The dimensions are pretty much made up with exception of the 1-2-3 block hole spacing and extrusion...

Re: Is there a Shapeoko 4 in the works?

I think that if I were dreaming about the next SO iteration, I would like to see: And this is not to take anything away from the current design. I really enjoy my SO3 and use it almost daily, and with all my time on it and the things I do and the things I'd like to do, these are my limitations I am ...
