what are your feeds and speeds. it looks like you are trying to cut to much at one time and it's forcing the z plate to bend, it's like the weakest link on the machine. all of those passes are at 100% step over so it's putting a lot of load on the cutter. for a surfacing pass you would probably not ...

i run a trico oil spray on my machine, it works great, it's not cheep by any means but i have cut a lot of aluminum, and both steel and stainless steel with my s3. the oil does less cooling which is what you really want with aluminum, but it cuts down on friction and gives a smoother cut and the air...
