Re: Can I use the bCNC probe function to digitize an object?

This feature is already there. You make an autolevel scan and then save the output as STL.

Re: how to split g-code file manually?

For ubuntu there is a standard package for python serial
sudo apt-get install python-serial python-tk
is enough.
Idle is not need at all.
python-imaging is optional for displaying a color map from autoleveling

Re: GRBL - after homing cycle problem with g-code

Did you zero your WCS after homing?
I believe that you have some invalid values inside the G54 space
type $# or zero your machine with bCNC with the X=0, Y=0 buttons
to properly set the WCS.

Re: bCNC + Shapeoko 3 + Mac Winbook... any success

In order to make it more robust the port detection for Windows I've accidentally screw up the mac version.
I've just fix it and should work now. Could you download the latest master and test it.

Re: Issue after running homing command

Most probably it is the tool change M6 command. The default mode is to send the command to the controller. Grbl in this case will return an error and bCNC will stop. You can change the tool change policy in the "Probe -> Tool -> Policy"
and select to ignore the M6 commands.

FYI bCNC can also import the DXF and generate 2D toolpaths. It has some basic CAM functionality.
For 2D CAD I use librecad
