Re: AtomCNC Future

Nice work AtomSoft. If all the cards were the same size they could be stacked vertically and connected by stand-offs in the 4 corners. Nothing fancy like an Arduino shield, just physically stacked into a "cube". Possibly have some kind of brackets on each side where the MOSFET's are located and have...

Re: AtomCNC Future

@AtomSoft I see from looking at the AtomCNC pdf file schematic there are essentially only 3 I/O pins left, I think they are analog pins, which i believe can be made into digital (and both output & input but not at same time ?) so possibly some growth there, but it looks (to me) that a rev2 board wit...

Re: AtomCNC Future

Ethernet, wireless or even Bluetooth would be good.
Somewhat off topic I know but why is a Arduino Ethernet shield so expensive ?
seems like the cheapest I can find one is about $40

Re: AtomCNC (GRBL Board)

Hi @AtomSoft Got your 2nd release of AtomCNC Board Id software to work. I had deleted/un-installed the CP2102 drivers so it didn't work at first. Had to re-install the stock CP2102 drivers, then run the PID / VID changing software. Looking Good! I should be able to test the ShapeOko 3 axis, and then...

Re: AtomCNC (GRBL Board)

Hi @Atom I had seen the "EN" on the AtomCNC Board silk screen and didn't relate it to Pololu driver card orientation (there is a "EN" on the bottom of the driver card), so thanks. I went to the SiLabs web site and downloaded the CP210x files, in particular the file CP210x_VCP_Win_XP_S2K3_Vista_7.exe...

Re: AtomCNC (GRBL Board)

Hi @AtomSoft Got the AtomCNC board yesterday, looking good. A couple of issues: 1) Can you add a photo of the AtomCNC populated with all 4 of the driver boards to your AtomCNC .pdf file, possibly a short sentence describing orientation, since these things will self destruct if inserted backwards ......

Re: AtomCNC Bugs

Hi Atom I was going to look for a source for 1 pin (or 2 pin) Female connectors that would mate with the .1" header type Male connectors you have on the board for the X,Y,Z Home and GPIO connectors. A 3 pin servo connector would work for the JP5 Dual Y or A-axis connector, servo connectors are all o...

Re: Power supply, wiring

Hi @T4b » Since you've determined the diagram on the Power Supply is correct; I'd rewire the plug with the Yellow and Black wires to match the diagram on the Power Supply (use Yellow for + (Positive) 24 Volts). Remove the pins if possible from the connector (use a barrel pin removal tool), otherwise...
