Re: Any update on GRBL Error: Invalid gcode ID:33?
To make it all work I have set the export in HSM /Fusion 360 to grbl.cps. Have you tried using the Mach3 post in Fusion 360? That seems to work flawlessly with Carbide Motion + S3, unlike the GRBL post. ;) http://www.shapeoko.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=16&t=6328&p=53531#p53512 Works flawlessly right...

Ahh, did some more experimentation and edited my previous post.
Bore uses a helical path, and circular uses distinct Z layers.

Re: Holes are too small. Fusion 360 Bore
That's useful info Hans. I will incorporate it in my next test setup. Fusion has two strategies that I can't tell the difference between. The Circular strategy is used for milling cylindrical pockets and islands. The heights and depths are automatically derived from the selected cylindrical geometr...

Re: Shapeoko 3 gcode from Fusion 360
I use Universal Gcode Sender which is working perfectly with F360. Download v1.8 here: http://bit.ly/1BSKon6
I have the 360 post processor set to grbl.cps - generic grbl

Re: Any update on GRBL Error: Invalid gcode ID:33?
I had to ditch carbide motion to get drilling to work. I now use Universal Gcode Sender which works much better. Download v1.8 here: http://bit.ly/1BSKon6 Carbide motion tries to be smart and do things behind the scenes, but it adds its own issues to the mix in the process. ( WHY WOULD YOU NOT SUPPO...

Not yet, had to get this thing done ASAP for work.WillAdams wrote:Do you have dust collection set up so as to save the chips and recycle them?
Spoil board threaded inserts and a dust shoe are next on my list.

Re: SO3 Machining Aluminum
MORE DATA! Ran some stub 1/8in endmills at 40IPM .05 step over, and .032 depth of cut in 7075 AL. Seems to work nicely. I ran some standard length ones at 20IPM, .05 stepover, and .032 depth successfully as well. the endmill length really does matter a lot for chatter. Also ran a 1/4" chamfer mill a...

Re: SO3 Gantry Stiffness in Y direction
I think the plate the router is mounted to is the major issue, since the router aluminum mount is cantilevered so far away from the V wheels. I'd like to try a .625" thick aluminum replacement but I'm not sure how to make the offset nuts work well with a thick plate.
