Re: 3D model of Shapeoko 3

Sorry this has taken so long - I'll get these all bundled up soon.

Until then, here's the spindle mount plate and the Y carriage and the extrusion profile.

Re: SO3 Z-axis spring alternative

All

I'm working on this - somewhere along the line there was a disconnect between the springs that I originally speced for the machine and the springs that are being delivered.

I'll have some definitive information to share by Monday afternoon and will report back here.

Re: G-code Invalid error 33

From @chamnit in the github repo : The ID 33 error is when the target of the arc is invalid. Meaning that from the current location with the programmed arc radius, the target does not lie on the arc. It's outside a certain error bound. There must be something slightly off earlier in the g-code progr...

Re: Shapeoko 3 - Expansion Packs

Hi All, Last night I think we finally worked out how the big machine is going to look / go together. Now it's time to work backwards into the wider and longer machines. Earlier today I sent out a few files to get laser cut. If all goes well I should have the first prototype done once those get deliv...

Re: AutoDesk Inventor supposed to be easy?

I have been using Inventor for about 10 years now. It's the program I've used to design everything related to Shapeoko. Prior to starting 10 years ago I had done a very *little* amount of AutoCAD, but nothing of substance or value. Relatively speaking, I came into inventor with zero modeling (3D or ...

S3 Electronics Enclosure

Today I tried my hand at making an 'enclosed' electronics enclosure for my S3. I started by cutting the design out of MDF, just to make sure it wasn't totally flawed in some way. After the MDF was done (and iterated once) I cut the design from a piece of 1/2" x 12" x 12" HDPE. 1.jpg 2.jpg 3.jpg Unfo...
