Re: Z axis Belt - Tension (am I doing this right?)

Clever Fix! Have you tested for interference against the z-rail, from the larger OD of your modified pulley, or did you modify the 30 tooth, to maintain the same OD (body) as the original 20 tooth? For anyone who is having an issue with your z-belt - please email support@carbide3d.com - we'll put yo...

Re: In the news!

That's actually the low-pro vice we make for the Nomad.

During booth setup at MakarFaire we had a bunch of them laying around, so i double stick taped them to the wasteboard for the show.

Re: milling aluminum

Of course, I'm really biased, but I think S3 does a great job cutting aluminum. Here's a quick video I took last night on my Shapeoko 3. Sorry for the shakycam and the out of focus. Also - turn your speakers down, the camera was about 8 inches from the router. Job Specs: - Material: 1/8" Thick, 6061...

Re: 1/2 scale

Hi Tom, There are two sets of switches above each of the drivers on your control board. one set of switches (on each driver) should be set to N23 (NEMA23 motor), the other set should be moved to 1/8 (from 1/4). If that doesn't help, send an email to support@carbide3d.com and we'll get you straighten...

Re: Carbide Control Software issue

Try sending $14=1 to your control board.

Please send an email into support at carbide3d dot com if that doesn't solve the problem.

Thanks!

Re: Stepper motor wire length

The longer wires go on the X and Z (because they need to move with the gantry.

The shorter wires go on the Y axis plates.

Re: Z belt alignment

The belt shouldn't have any offset in it, so installing the pulley as you did to correct that was the appropriate thing to do. I'll go back through and add a few more angles to the exploded view diagram. I agree it's a mess and tough, especially in the area you are referring to, make out what goes w...
