Re: Engraving questions & possible to touch off?

bCNC can automatically probe the work surface. Basically you have the probes connected to the bit and to the workpiece (if it's conductive) or to a sheet of foil, etc on the work surface. My one attempt at cutting after this was unsuccessful for other reasons (bad gcode command in the default header...

Re: Invalid gcode ID:26

Thanks! I'll take a look at that. There didn't seem to be a line number or anything else pointing to the offending line, so for me it was like searching for a needle in a haystack.

Out of curiosity - how did you find it? Sharper eyes or just that familiar with the Grbl set of commands.

Invalid gcode ID:26

Question : What do I need to do in F-Engrave to get the gcode to execute in bCNC Background : I was trying to print a sign for our local Cub Scout pack. I did up a quick design in Inkscape and ran it through F-Engrave. I did a test run through Universal G-Code sender and noticed that the right of t...

Block-enable: 1 / Active State Queued

This is one-part of a two part question. I'll post them individually to try to keep things on target. Question : What causes GRBL / Universal G-Code Sender to stop and report: Block-enable: 1 / Active State Queued? Background : I was trying to print a sign for our local Cub Scout pack. I did up a qu...

Re: How to control the SO3? Oh, so many ways...

I have a raspberry pi and a crappy walmart LCD TV with HDMI input running Universal G-Code Sender

I use one of these for homing and control - https://smile.amazon.com/Rii-Wireless-K ... s+keyboard

Re: twforeman's Shapeoko 3 #0004 Upgrades - Long

I've seen this a couple of times and I've read much of your blog and posts here. There are a ton of folks with less know-how making a decent chunk of change (or at least getting free gear) on youtube. I'd subscribe in a heartbeat if you advertised a youtube channel showing something like this. Much ...

Re: $78.00 10" Windows 10 tablet at Walmart

Apologize for the tangent: Does anyone know if these have NFC reading capability? I have a manufacturing client looking to do a proof of concept with NFC tags and they prefer Windows devices to Android devices. I could get Nexus 7 2013 in the neighborhood of $130, but these would really fit the bill...
