To cut that ring...im not sure if thats a detent, hose clamp groove or what...but youll need a special bit and toolpath for that. A convex radius cutter would also work...though im not sure if theyre well suited for router speeds.

My letters are way smaller than 1" so this should be good right? Those are the bits (or very very similar) ive been using for fine detail...

How did you get enough material in to fill the entire cavity? I do not see any injection/vent ports. If you just cast one side and put the top half on I wouldn't think it would fill the entire cavity. Care to share how you filled the entire mold. The parts look very nice! How did you get enough material in to fill the entire cavity? I do not see any injection/vent ports. Yes at home in the garage.

In saying that...i am an engineer and i have worked with liquid silicones before...but for potting electronics. I will make a few potting molds with a similar methodology as well for articles and work.
