Re: MakerSlide Europe

@baz: I would still like this information about your contract with the extruder company. So you don't have to search it: I wanted to know to what tolerances the company guarantees to deliver and if the company does all of the work for you (i.e. the only thing they need is a 2d cad plan of the profil...

Re: Cooling the GRBLshield v3 (Inventables Full/Premium #2)

After the first few letters of the Hello world thingy from the wiki the three "DRV8811" chips got so hot that I burned my finger on one of them (it still hurts now, at least 10 minutes later). I hope I haven't damaged them yet. They still appeared to be working right when I stopped the job and plugg...

Re: Universal G-Code Sender - v1.0.3 released

Pity it doesn't run on ARM.

Edit: That's just typical for Java - it's supposed to be platform independent, but it seldom is.

Edit: Or possibly it would, maybe I should look at the error message more closely - but in every case, it doesn't out of the box.

Re: Batch 2 Makerslide Frustration

Also, same thing when connecting the dremel mount to the insertion nuts, because the insertion nuts only fit one way, with the raised up portion facing away from the open part of the slot, the screw was too short with washer to get into them, just remove the washers, don't follow the assembly v1 di...

Re: Shapeoko Countries

Including me:
  • USA
  • UK
  • Australia
  • Canada
  • Japan
  • Switzerland
I suggest you copy the list into your post and add your country (or maybe add a x2 to existing ones). That way there is a complete up to date list automatically.

Re: MakerSlide Europe

If they have problems with their production, that's not something Baz (or his Ulule backers) will be responsible for. You are sure of that? Has Baz a contract in which the extruder company promises to deliver within stated tolerances (which I would be interested in) and they only need the CAD files...

Right, I didn't think of that.

Re: MakerSlide Europe

I would like to know a few things: * How much experience do you have with extruding alumnium? * Specs? * In your budget calculations, have you planned for everything to go wrong? Have you included several test runs after which you can tweak the settings and stuff? I think I've read that for the Inve...
