Also what kind of tolerances are you looking to achieve on this and what's your timeline? Tight tolerances aren't needed and im looking to do it within the next month or two. Unless your a pro with CNC your not just going to buy, assemble and mill something in perfect tolerance right out of the box...

The shape itself should be doable, just make a fixture to receive the part after one side has been routed.

So a shop that was going to do the milling for a part I designed is behind on work and can't take on any new projects at this time. Since I have been considering the shapeoko 3 beforehand for various other projects and am about to buy, I will now have to take on this project myself or spend $100's a...

As purchased, the SO3 does not directly control the speed of the router via software. If you buy the Dewalt DWP611, it has a 6-position (or 7-?) switch on it to set the desired RPMs. However, the controller board of the SO3 *does* have support/connectors for a PWM signal, which is driven via the gc...

If you have the budget, maybe a Nomad would be a better option? How large are the PCBs which you're planning on making? I don't want to sacrifice the working area for the smaller nomad. I plan on milling some larger pieces of aluminum or acrylic in the future. Sent from my Nexus 6 using Tapatalk
