Re: Dust Shoe for Proxxon Mount

That looks awesome : ) Did you get the aluminium in the right size or how did you cut it? Maybe you can also help me with the t-nuts. What dimensions do they have? I did not find them in germany yet ... And one more question: How did you mount the pillow block. Is there a nut for the screw on the ba...

Did you make some kind of backplate where the pillow block is mounted on? And do you only use one mount for the whole proxxon? thanks a lot (and sorry for hijack...

Re: End Mill length > Milling depth? Make deeper cuts?

shame on me! That was pretty stupid. I did not think about the possibility of using an end mill where cutting and shank diameter are the same (1/8"). Thanks a lot!

milling settings (feed rates e.g.) overview?

Hey!

i could not find anything like that arount here but it is hard to imagine. Is there a wiki page or something like that with experiences regarding feet rates, depth increments, various materials and so on? Or does really everybody try to find this out on his own?

thanks a lot,

tm

Holding parts without »bridges«?

Hey! i am not sure if bridges is the correct term for what i mean: I am talking about the little connections between a cutout part and the rest of the material. How do you make sure that the cutout parts do not get caught by the spindle if you do not use those bridges? I have seen videos (e.g. http:...

End Mill length > Milling depth? Make deeper cuts?

Hey all, i am still new to cnc and my shapeoko has been running for only two days and i am full of ideas for what to do with it. I own several 1/8" end mills with a maximum length of 12 mm (usable: about 9 to 10 mm). I have not been able to find any longer end mills for 1/8" collets. To my surprise ...
