Re: Diagonal lines sometimes becoming right angles?

What tool chain did you use to generate the part and the g code. The g code file says "gcodetools for inkscape" so I can guess... The number 1 rule for CNC programming is keep it simple. With a simple part profile like this I would draw it in LibreCAD (free, opensource, works great) since it's a 2D ...

Re: twforeman's build

A new update in the accuracy front.

I squared up the X and Y axis yesterday, but still have some more work to do.

Building a torsion box table is moving to the top of the list I think.

Full details on my blog.

Re: Problem Updating to GRL 8c 9a

If you purchased your Seeeduino from Synthetos with GRBL pre-loaded then the bootloader is not on the board anymore and you will need an AVR programmer like a USBTiny from Adafruit to flash it.

That's what I ended up doing.

Re: Ran the Circle Diamond Square test

Well I tried to square up my machine tonight. As suggested I loosened all the hold down bolts and squared the Y axis at one end. Then I ran the X axis down to the square end and made sure the plates were both touching. Then I ran the Circle Diamond Square test and got the same results. :( Further in...
