Anyone know anything about the Spindle Control from Kosme?

I was browsing the wiki and came upon the circut for a Spindle Speed controller. It includes some schematics and such, but it says it has not been tested. Anyone know if there has been any more development on this?

I was thinking of using hall effect sensors from Hamlin for combination homing and limit switches ( 1 sensor and 2 magnets for each axis).

For the standard shapeoko you don't need the middle cross piece so total in misumi extrusions you are looking at 10-15$.
